Just for those sunny days that you are up for a nice bikeride all the way from Dolceacqua to the beach.
•Start at the piazza della chiesa (the big square in front of the church)
• Follow the new bikeline that gives you a sight of the green and beautiful landscape
• Within 30 min (8km) you’ll find yourself at the beach! ☀️🏊‍♀️🏖️

And when you’re back at the Dolce Den… you just fold the bike and voila! Easypeasy if you ask me!

Ps. Of course this bike is only suitable for these distances. If you want to go on a serious long bikeride, I would recommened to rent one at for example: @nolobicibikerental

Over the past couple of months, the Dolce Den has had the pleasure of hosting lots of visitors from all over the world: Poland, France, Italy, the Netherlands you name it. And they’ve all truly enjoyed their stay. I’m so excited and happy that they’ve shared such positive feedback and that the Dolce Den has left such a good impression!

I don’t know about you all, but whenever I travel myself, I automatically call the place where I’m staying home “let’s have dinner and then go home”. But often, it’s not really a home, just a hotel or something similar.
When it comes to The Dolce Den it was my ultimate goal to create a real HOME for guests, even for just a couple of days. That’s why reading their positive experiences means a lot to me and.. it’s just awesome to read!

So far, the Dolce Den has welcomed solo travelers, couples, and even couples with a baby. It’s a place for everyone. For the best experience I recommend a maximum of 2 guests, but there’s space for up to 5.

Fave corners in the house✨

This time I’d like to highlight all my fave spots in the house!
1. The brandnew bed with cobalt blue bed sheet! 💙
2. The kitchen with postcards from places in the area of Dolceacqua. I always love to buy postcards wherever I go, and how fun is it to decorate this fridge with some cards of beautiful places in the area + a little hint to where I’m from (IYKYK👀). On this table there is some amaretti for my guests, a guestbook for everyone’s messages and a little reminder for you to never skip aperitivo con amici!🍸
3. The little bookshelf! 📚 for those who love to read I created this small bookshelf with mostly English books. Grab one, take it with you and swap it with a book of yourself. I love this idea of sharing books from all over the world.
4. This lady is keeping an eye on you while you choose your book💁🏻‍♀️I bought this cute piece of art in Barcelona from @anne.arte
5. The most adorable hallway, if you ask me🤭. I can’t get enough of the color combination. The vintage green light that I got from my Italian uncle, in combination with the yellow and the small pink and orange pieces of art on the wall. Adorooooo!!!!
6. One of my most fave corners in the house! I love the energy of this corner: calm and peaceful. The lightning in this corner is everything!

Fave places to have APERITIVO. Best time of the day if you ask me. The Aperitivo is like a pre meal drink, with some bites. A little catch up before dinner, and sometimes - when at a good place in good company- the bites are so good and big portions that you can make it a aperi-cena (aperitivo/dinner). I love love aperitivi!

Besides painting, doing a bit of plastering, regrouting the bathroom, and giving everything a fresh new look, it was time for some new furniture, putting together cabinets, cleaning up, and adding the final touches!
In the end, it all took about four weeks. I had some time off, the weather wasn’t great, so it was the perfect moment to get it all done. It was quiet some work, but not too much! And besides that, it was super nice to turn this house from a “house that I bought” into really a cozy home.💖

Last year around this time I was busy with painting, fixing and buying furniture, cleaning and turning this house into something new.

I wanted to create a cozy and cute house where I can spend summer holidays but also a house to rent out where people feel at home.🌼🏡

Initially I wanted to give this house a calm and clean ‘look’ with lots of beige and nude colors.
But quite soon, my bfriends mom gave me the advice to add some color, something that makes it personal, a color that I love.
Well for those who know, the only answer to that is 💛🌞yellowwwwww

This cinema called Ariston is not just a cinema. Exactly one week ago this cinema turned for the 75th time into the biggest music festival of Italy: Festival di Sanremo🎶. As you can imagine… festival di Sanremo is in Sanremo 😅😁..which is only a 40 min drive from the Dolce Den in Dolceacqua.

✨Italian singer Olly took the win of this 75th edition with his song “Balorda Nostalgia” AND will perform this song at the EUROPEAN SONGFESTIVAL. Honestly, it’s been on repeat since day one, but I have to admit, Giorgia’s “Cura per me” still holds a special place in my heart (she’s a classic, and definitely a family favorite). If you don’t know Sanremo, imagine the Eurovision, but only for Italy—5 days of nonstop music, talks, comedy, poesy and show oh and.. family WhatsApp spam to comment on their performences.
